Pioneer Park
Probably one of the best right now in Bismarck.
Length, through all my digging the internet I see cannot find it. So thanks to my new GPS I will get this mileage eventually. I want to say a 3 or so miles but not sure.
Fun trail right off a paved path that runs along the river, winds in the hills above the river. Very well ridden so no problem to find.
Northern parking lot and trail head access

Are you talking about the paved path or the dirt around Pioneer Park?
It’s on the east side of river road. If you start going up the paved road you will see one of the trails to the left going straight up the hill. It’s been a while since I’ve been on those trails, but there are a few spots to the right of the paved trail that will allow access to the mountain bike trail.
That dirt trail that Jason says goes straight up the hill (SE of Ducks Unlimited) is actually supposed to be closed due to erosion…that is the trail going straight up the hill from the bottom of the paved trail up to Chief Looking’s Village…please stay off that trail and it’s twin on the south side of Chief Lookings Village. The easiest way to find the single track trail is to park by the I-94 bridge and go to the east side of River Road where the single track climbs up switchbacks along the north and south sides of the I-94 bridge. the north side does a loop with several options above Pioneer Park, while the south side does a loop along the north and west ends of the BSC (Bismarck State College) Bowl. You can also park at Pioneer Park and ride the paved trail up the hill to just past the bench and the single track takes off from the pavement around the knob below the big boulder. Or you can park up on top at the scenic overlook and ride down the paved trail to the same spot by the bench/boulder. This is one of the most scenic mt. bike/hiking/running trails in the state, a real jewel when you consider it is right in town.
