What is better than a group mountain bike ride with a bunch of good guys and gals? Nothing but maybe the beer and B.S. that comes after the ride. The group rides have begun and Monday night at 6:30pm is the time and the place for now is Sleepy Hollow trail in Bismarck. At some point we may move locations but until the Race to Sunset is over this is the place. We may also move the time back to 7:00pm once we get more daylight.

This ride is open to all abilities and skill levels, so don’t feel intimidated to come and ride even if this is your first time on singletrack. The group already has a wide variety of riders so you will have no problem fitting in. One of us will take you under our wing and help you out. Now if you want to come out and hammer you will also be more than welcome and more than happy with some of the riders we have in our group. This is a group that is all about the fun of riding no matter where you are in the pack. We plan to stick with Monday come rain or shine for the sake of consistence and getting the word out there. You can count on someone being there to either ride or lead the pack to a fine drinking place of the group’s choice due to shitty weather of course!

As for other group rides our little band of cohorts dream up, someone will try and send out and email and phone a few key people(you know who you are) as soon as we know what we are doing. If you would like to join the emailing list just contact me through the website or stop by Barry’s Bike Shop and leave your email address with them. By the way Barry is one of those key people who will get notified of the ride, so feel free to call or stop by the shop and find out what is coming up for the week. We also are going to bring back the Night on the Town Ride (21 years old only, sorry). This was a favorite of all who did this ride. This was a ride where we bounced around town from bar to bar, having a drink or not and just having a great time. Another idea in the works is for those of you who have lights. We plan to be doing a night ride once the weather warms up some more. This was purely Brian’s idea and I just got suckered into it, or I was dumb enough to go along with it who knows. I will try and do my best to keep things up to date on the website so check back ever once in awhile, until then I hope we see you some Monday night.
